Ryzen 3 2200G Black Display after driver update

I am extremely disappointed with this platform. There is most likely a driver error and I can't understand what it is.

My system is very simple:

Ryzen 3 2200G
400W PSU
8GB Corsair CMK8GX4M1A2666C16
Asus Prime A320M-K

The computer has been having random BSOD. Dump files indicated memory problem. I have tested memory, no problems.

Today changed memory as well from a working computer and trying to do clean install with Win10 Pro but every time the driver is updated (after chipset installation) the screen goes black once the computer restarts.

However basic Microsoft Driver seems to be working fine.

I have updated all Chipset driver, RAID installer driver and as soon as Windows loads the driver dated in July, the computer has black screen now.

I am using the HDMI connection to the monitor.

Don't know what to do, please advise.

Did you update the BIOS as well?

Yes i did

Make sure your PSU 24-pin power is firmly plugged in.

See what happens if you connect your monitor on the VGA display.

I checked as well. They are all connected properly.

But I think the solution is to use a dedicated GPU. I've just plugged in a Radeon HD5450. HDMI or VGA currently working fine. No BSOD so far. Currently I am running stres test on the system.

What I don't understand, what is the point of having these integrated systems if they have compatibility issues? Or would you say the motherboard is faulty?

I am pretty sure there are many people around using exactly the same specs. Any comments are appreciated.

Sometimes Windows Update overwrites drivers that you installed manually and this can cause problems since they don't always match or are just not right for your hardware.

You can prevent Windows Updates from installing drivers with this guide:

Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10

In addition to all that has been said above, make sure that you are using the correct AMD driver for the Ryzen you are using.

Get your driver from here:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/a.../amd-ryzen-3-0

According to AMD, that is the driver that you should be using with the 2200G. Don't use the driver that Windows installs. It could be several iterations old and/or for the wrong processor. Since I use AMD myself, I make sure I get my drivers right from AMD.

I have the same problem. May I know if you have already found a solution without using a dedicated GPU?

And I don't think it is a motherboard issue. It has got to do with the on board GPU (hopefully not).
