Adata SX8200 2TB Nvme not detected in Bios

I was using my pc as per usual (newly built, 2 day old), installing a game. After install, I return to desktop to find that my shortcut icons were not working, decided to reboot. Upon reboot, the entire drive is not there, not in device manager as well, nor in Bios.

It's an Adata SX8200 2tb nvme pcie drive.

Any help would be terrific. Cheers.

If I had to guess I'd say it's a BIOS issue with CPU. There's a BIOS update for you mobo that was released recently.

I updated the bios to the latest when building it.

    Welcome to Ten Forums Kibbelhs

Have you booted into the bios setup to confirm the NVMe drive is recognized and first on the boot order? Do you have any other drives or OS installed on this PC?

    Thanx for the welcome :)
Said drive is a media drive. OS is installed on a 128gb Intel 760p. The Adata drive can no longer be found in bios boot order.

    You're very welcome.

Could you please provide some background info?

1-How much uptime did you have using this new PC?
2-I trust the NVMe drive was showing up in the bios setup, at least before now. Correct?
3-Did you ever have another version of Windows 10 working on this PC before 1903?
4-Was it a clean install of 1903 or other OS using the mct tool?
5-Do you have the latest and greatest drivers for this device loaded?

    1. Pc was built 2 days ago, total runtime lesser than 48 hours.
    2. Yes.
3&4. Brand new system, with a clean install of Windows via usb.
    5. Prior to its disappearance, it was using windows nvme driver. Tried finding drivers for it but came across a forum post whereby someone said Adata doesn't have drivers, only uses generic windows one.

This is how it looks like on the bios: Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Boot option 2 only allows me to select the other drive which the OS is installed.

    Cheers.

I should have also asked if it shows up in the device manager under disk drives and/or storage controllers?

As per my first post, it does not.
Storage controller only has the boot drive, Msoft storage spaces controller and Virtual Clonedrive.

Edit: I've managed to solve the issue. Power cycled the system and its reappeared. Very weird. Any idea why?
Thank you for the help anyways :)

Congrats, a reboot and/or clean boot is usually indicated for a failure of Windows to recognize an installed device, especially if it was working. As for a reason, Windows is the usual answer. My current 'go to' answer would be 1903. Others may have another explanation.
