Hello i installed the official driver for LEXMARK MS510dn but i noticed that after installation the icon of the printer is shown as generic. After clicking properties i noticed that manufacturer is empty under device information. How can i restore the official icon of the printer lexmark ms510dn? Thank you
Right click on the PC on that devices screen > Device installation settings > "Do you want to automatically download manufacturers' apps and custom icons that are available for your devices?"
Select Yes > save changes.
Or in Settings search for Device installation.
I wouldn't loose sleep over a printer icon being wrong as long as the printer was fully functioning. I've had that happen to once but somewhere along a driver update or two and all was good. With that you could check for new drivers and see they solve the issue. Outside of that if the printer is working I'd move on. But... I get it, you want it fixed if possible.
Anyway check for new drivers. You might also consider reinstalling the current ones.
