    Moving partitions

    Hi,

I wanted to reorder/arrange the disk. How can I move the OEM partition to the 2nd location such that C drive will be 3rd partition . Please see attached snapshot.

Minitool Partition Wizard is the recommended tool.

You have a bunch of unallocated space on both of those drives that is being wasted. I'd think you'd want to add that to a partition.

    Hi, if you Google e.g.
move partition <name of partition manager> you will get a result such as
How to Move Partition with Partition Assistant?

    There I searched for
    aomei partition manager move partition

    Here's another:

    I searched for
    minitool partition wizard move partition

Hope that idea helps- you can of course use your favourite 3rd party partition manager.

    Hi,
I want my free space to remain the same. I just want the OEM partition(Disk 1 Partition 3 ) to be the 2nd partition. and the C drive the 3rd partition.

I am unable to understand how the MOVE function will help achieve the objective.

Thank you very much for your reply.

You can move and resize. Or not. The choice is yours. As is how any unallocated space remains.

You stated you wanted to change the order of your partitions for whatever reason.

What function do you expect to use if not move? Kindly advise.

I suggest you create a full disk image, then try using one of these tools. A backup is essential in case you make a mistake. Note a partition manager boot medium can be very useful.

It sounds as if you've not use one before. Please therefore carefully read the help documentation, and explore the tool for yourself.

    Hi,

I have managed to move the partitions. However, no more the 'OEM partition'shows status as 'OEM partition'. It shows status as 'Primary partition'. I have also registered the partition in reagentc in CMD.
    Please advise what to do.!!
