I just updated to v3.3 from the Samsung site, and all 3 of my NVMe drives (970 EVO Plus 1tb && 2 x 970 Pro 1TB), all say they re using the MIcrosoft driver, not the Samsung driver.

That might explain why I'm getting such poor speeds.

    How do I fix?

What are your "poor speeds" ? Device manager shows those drivers for compatibility reasons, it will not show as real Samsung driver.

Oh, OK... I was going by this post where it shows the NVMe drive rather than the M$ driver....

Seems I was looking in the wrong place. Under storage controllers is shows The same as the above post.

You need to install the Samsung NVMe driver which is on the same page. Then reboot, then install Magician.

Hadn't realised there was a new driver, benchmark today before and after installing (and previous benchmark showing after first installing the previous driver)

Results are somehow almost every time different even with same driver. Like all other components, results vary with background processes at that time as well as temperatures and in case of SSDs of amount of data and when trim is run last time.

Ok, here's the tests. Seems to be the primary 970 Pro (C:) that is slower (Same results for all partitions on that drive). The first C: drive (3215) is after trim. The second is before trim. H: is the seconds 970 Pro and and G: is the 970 Evo Plus

Crystal disk mark is not really geared toward SSDs. Try AS SSD Benchmark 2.0.7316 Download - TechSpot
