New install w10. Didn't find a 1tb HD.
System is w10 on HP Envy, 32gb ram, 2.5tb internal HD, 250gb external.
The new installation of w10 did not find a 1tb HD. There are 2 installed. Found only one.
How is this solved?

dlw,
Please post a screenshot of the Disk management results - C:\Windows\System32\diskmgmt.msc [it needs to be run as Admin, by the way]
- Before taking the screenshot, drag the column header dividers [in the upper part of the view] so that the whole of the info in each column can be seen & reduce the window size as far as you can without hiding any info in either part of the view.
- I'd also suggest cropping the screenshot to remove other windows / desktop background so that the intended info can be seen more clearly. If you don't have anything else, MS paint [C:\Windows\System32\mspaint.exe] can be used to do this**.
- You might find that it is easier to display the info if you split the screenshot into two segments [one for the upper part of the view, one for the lower] i.e. make a copy of the screenshot then crop each segment separately.
** Open the file in Paint, click on the rectangular Select icon in the toolbar, drag the cursor across the segment that you are trying to capture, click on the Crop icon in the toolbar.

Check if the disk is seen by BIOS.
If it isn't you have a hardware malfunction.
Disk 1 is RAW, not formatted.
If there is data on it, to recover your data you need specialized help. Don't try to recover. Wait for help.
If it's a new disk and you want to install Win 10, my recommendation is to detach ALL other disks, (SATA or power cable) and then boot from a Win 10 installation disk as UEFI (not legacy), go to install, select the disk and proceed.
Actually the OS did find it and your other Partitions and the external drive. It is just that one of your Partitions is not formatted at the moment.
