Version 1903 update stopped my bluetooth working.

On 03 Oct 19 my windows got updated to version 1903. Unfortunately it broke my bluetooth completely. I can neither add a bluetooth device nor can connect to already paired devices.

I did sfc/ scannow. Found some corrupt files but can not mend them. Please access to my log file by using my google drive link below.

Please go easy with me since I am not very knowledgeable......Thank you.

Whenever windows does a major update it does the nasty habit of updating all drivers along , usually this end up of having some faulty drivers installed , so my suggestion is to download and install your right bluetooth driver from manufacturer and hopefully keep a copy of all your drivers locally if ever needed .

P.S : Later to that , always track the version number on the driver to make sure windows did not stealthly update it again to faulty version . If it does , disable automatic device driver update from System Properties > Hardware > Device Installation Settings > No (Save Changes)

Thank you so much for your suggestion nightmayor.
Took your advice and went to Lenovo site and have my laptop scanned. It said "No driver updates are required for your machine".
So I presume this update screwed something else....

"I did sfc/ scannow. Found some corrupt files but can not mend them".To fix that run this in powershell as admin when connected to internet.

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

reboot then run sfc /scannow again and hopefully it will now be able to fix the corrupted system files.

well, it isnt good when this happened, but glad this issue isnt just me. just updated to the latest win10 CU, and this bluetooth crap happened, so I tried uninstalling the update first, windows would not let me, said "update was not completely removed" translated to "lel, we aint removing it scrub, try again"

So I figured I'd do the standard dism scans, sfc scans, chkdsk scans, no go, so I figured I'd download a fresh 1903 copy using the MediaCreationTool and do a refresh install; and that did not work. I also tried updating the bluetooth software by downloading it from the intel downloadcenter, but even then it still didnt work

One thing that is strange, is after this happened, I checked my device manager, and I got this weird entry under the USB controllers section called "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". this did NOT show up before the update at all, so I figure whatever microsoft bungled up, that entry is meant to be our bluetooth, but I guess their update erroneously reassigned it as a USB Controller instead

perhaps backing up my softrware and personal stuff onto a Portable drive and doing a fresh install would fix it, but I doubt it, and the hard drive I used for macrium reflect backups is missing (I think I lent it to my friend for his backups after I erased it for newer backups, but he's on bed rest after a bad cold), so whatever backup I had before I can't restore to

If there truly was no other option, I'd do a fresh install of windows, but im not taking that nuclear option just yet

What is the model of the computer? If Lenovo has the Windows 8.1 drivers on their support site, they should enable BT. If not, you can use a USB dongle for BT. Bluetooth can be a part of the Wifi chipset drivers or a separate card, depending on the design of the motherboard.

That is going to be a CU update and has zero to do with drivers. Just head over to Lenovo Support website and see if they have the drivers for your mchine.

The latest windows version/build can become corrupt or malfunction.
In a similar fashion the latest drivers can become corrupt or malfunction.

In post #4 Kryten posted steps to fix scannow corruption.

The logs displayed Windows defender hash mismatches which were logged as corruptions in the CBS log.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    4) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    5) sfc /scannow
    6) chkdsk /scan
    7) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    8) wmic recoveros set DebugInfoType = 7

    9) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    10) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

    10) In post #8 bro67 posted to install a new driver from the Lenovo website.
Uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth driver from the computer or motherboard manufacturer's website:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...0-8d22254aa1c1

    11) Additional options may include uninstalling the latest windows updates, trying alternative driver versions, and collecting computer log files for troubleshooting.
