The other thing I thought was... should i just open the laptop up again and remove the battery and put it back in as it might be not tight enough? Such as it might be a bit loose?

Well the first picture i posted... you could see it was not that straight... so it kept flashing white and orange. Then when i took battery out and put it back in and made it more straight... it worked. So maybe i should take it out and put it back in as that could be the reason? Like its a bit loose?
I forget if you tried installing this is not. I would try: https://www.dell.com/support/content...-power-manager

Worth a check, but you tell us, was that connector easy to slide on or a pretty tight fit like I would imagine it should be for a battery connector that size.
I don't have dell power manager installed. Did you install it yourself or was it already in your system? I remember you said you had a dell as well right?
When you connect that rainbow connector to the slot inside the laptop, its never like a snap on tight fit. Its like you push it in... but its not locked in.

The rainbow connecting thing when you connect to the part in the laptop is never like a snap connect.
I also took out the screws of the battery and took out battery and put it back in... then turned on laptop for a few minutes without charging... there was no flashing light.. so then i just plugged my charger into it.... and it charges white light for under a minute... then now back or orange light rapidly flashing now again...
As I recall Dell Power Manager came preinstalled.
Post another picture of the battery connector. I hope you don't have to unscrew the battery again.

Skip the picture if you've already put the cover back on.
https://www.dell.com/support/article...cators?lang=en keep this with your bank documents - I don't recall if it was posted previously and it seems like you should look at it now and in the future when beeps or LEDs are acting unusual.
