Partitioning My hard drive

    Should I do a quick format of the new partition and anything else before I install windows 7?

    You should be installing Win 7 to an unallocated partition, the 150GB you just shrunk to get. The installation will create what you need. Been a very long time since I cleaned installed 7, probably 6-7 years, but the install works similar to Win 10 install, it will do what you need. Drive letter was really unnecessary. Should be unallocated.

    I see Martin here. Maybe he can expound on what I said.

    I want to thank everyone for all the help, I knew if I had a problem this is the place to go. It has been quite an experience for me but it's done. So everyone have a great day or night depending on where you at.
