There isn't much data, only in the browsers maybe, but no saved forms or passwords or personal data. Windows 10 was installed to test if it will run, I can make it private.

Good, I see it is now private. Sensitive data it may have included could have been your WiFi password for your connection to your router.

In addition, be aware that the built-in system imaging from Microsoft has been a deprecated feature for more than two years. Even Microsoft say you should use something (anything) else. Macrium Reflect Free is most often recommended for that on this forum.

Thank you, I can try and use that software to make an image. The computer is a desktop.

That's for the best. The built-in system imaging is temperamental at best. I used it for years before switching to Macrium. It had a tendency, out of the blue, to fail to recognise an image as restorable. Should that happen just when you need it the most, then you are left without any way to restore the image.

I've created an image of drive C with Macrium, and only Chrome and a few other programs are installed. Should I upload the image and put a link?

Sorry I may have started this way back by suggesting you take an Image. That was for you so you could restore quickly and easily.

You may want to store your image on google drive but you should not be sharing it with anyone.

I didn't think about restoring it, but it would be good to have an image for that, thank you. I can mark it as solved.

Great. I assume you made and tested the Macrium boot media. An essential part of the overall process.

    Good luck.

A note: Windows 10 works on this PC, but only with one of the first versions. The subsequent versions show a black screen after the motherboard logo.
