Windows 10 Mouse Lagging

My problem turned out to be Steam, namely the Steam Bootstrapper. Turned that off, and all my lag went away.

Well, I feel like a complete A**. My wife tells me ( and I refused to believe) ,"have you checked your mouse"? I never thought anything of it. Sure enough, I went and bought a Corsair M65 gaming mouse...Hooray. Problem solved. Finally a problem solved without Windows being involved for a change. Good Luck everyone!!

Registered for this site just to say thanks, I was considering using a shotgun on my computer as this issue had been impossible to solve for months. So simple! Just unchecked the damn box as stated here, no further issues

1: Use Cortana and search for "Mouse" to go into Mouse properties.
1: Or by go in Settings, Devices, Mouse and Touchpad, "aditional mouse options.
2: Go into "Pointer Options" and turn off "Enhance Pointer Precision"
3: Hit Apply, and OK

I did try to turn Precision on again, and it started being a a pain again, and turning it off, it calmed down again
I belive this is the reason the lagg happens, having two things fighting over what is best for the mouse, one saying to use 12000DPI and one 1400DPI

But why it only happend after 3 months, I dont know, I have a feeling its one of the new windows updates that did this.
But it looks like my mouse calmed down from its tantrums.

if people can confirm if this works, I would apriciate it

Just like many of you I have encountered the same problem The TOUCH PAD Problem
were your mouse delays after you are done scrolling and/or dragging a tab.This problem occurs when
you upgrade to win10. Here's the solution

Step 1: go to DEVICE MANAGER
Step 2: locate Mice and other pointing device
Step 3: show its context(click the down arrow)
Step 4: right click your mouse driver and click properties
Step 5: Go to DRIVER section
Step 6: And hit that darn ROLL BACK DRIVERS
Step 7: Restart you computer
Step 8: If it solved you problem
Step 9: DO A VICTORY DANCE
Step 10: If not

Yes, after uninstalling Realtek Program which removes FMAPP.exe solve the mouse lagging for me.

I found the issue!
It was related to a Realtek Program named FMAPP.exe.

Stopping it in Task Manager and excluding it from starting at Boot solved my issue and it leads to no Sound issues or similar things, so it's no problem to exclude it from boot.

I had no issue since 2-3 days now, so that seemed to be it

Hi, I'm having the exact same issue. The pointer is lagging except when control panel is open.

Can you tell me, how do you stop it in task manager and exclude it from starting at Boot?

Just to confirm: every big windows update I have to rename fmapp.exe to get a normal working mouse back. Thinkpad helix
