HP Print and Scan Doctor FAILED TO PRINT TEST PAGE with a not useful error message

Believe it or not Microsoft Tech support solved the problem !
From a CMD window (running as Administrator)

    net stop spooler
    DEL /F /S /Q %systemroot%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*
    net start spooler

Not sure why that worked, but it is still working after a reboot.

Both of you missed the statement that printer works flawlessly on a much older Windows 7 machine that only has 802.11G

EDIT : Tested with the laptop "hardwired" to the router. Moderately faster, but the old Win 7 machine printing over WiFi is still MUCH faster !
No one has missed anything. The problem is with Windows 10, not 7, concentrate on fixing the problem with the one machine.

    Product: HP OfficeJet 4500
be a little more specific with HP Officejet 4500 because there are several versions of it.
Officejet 4500 G510n-z (my cousin actually has this version - the G510N)
    Officejet 4500 G510g-m
    Officejet 4500 G510a-f
    Officejet 4500 K710

look either at the back or the bottom of your Officejet 4500 printer, theoldwizard1, and check the product number carefully.

At least Microsoft support can read their own stuff:
