DVD Drive is not showing in Windows 10.
Hello everyone
I bought my laptop -LENOVO PC Portable Ideapad 320-14ISK 14"HD- without DVD/CD-Rom drives so it is normal that the DVD Drive is not showing in Windows 10. But even if the placement of the DVD is empty, you can still see inside my laptop the port with is dedicated (I think is SATA) for the DVD drive. So I tried to install A solid-state drive (SSD) in the same placement but the SSD was not detected by my laptop, and when I tried to put a DVD/CD Optical Drive (from another laptop), it was not detected also but the green light on the DVD/CD optical drive was on and I could open and close the DVD Optical Drive.
When I opened the Bios, I couldn’t see the DVD optical drive. And when I opened device manger, there is no an icon (pictogram) for : DVD/CD-ROM drives and for IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.
So I opened Computer management, then I got in Device manager (still nothing) then I select Action then Add Hardwar wizard: and here I sow the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers but the computer asked me for CD for the installation.
Could you please tell me what to do please?
