    USB ports suddenly not working...

Mouse and keyboard are suddenly on strike because suddenly my USB ports are dead. I really don't know how that happened, tried everything to get them all working again... And did I mention that the mouse pointer is gone too? Tried several keyboards and mice, to no avail...

    Please do help me!!

In case it is needed later, on a working computer create a bootable Windows 10 iso:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10
    Download Windows 10 ISO File
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

Power on the computer and as soon as you see the Microsoft icon power off
Immediately repeat the power on and power off on the Microsoft Windows icon.
On the third power on allow it to progress to the computer's Windows advanced troubleshooting menu

    a) Perform a startup repair > if USB problems persist advance to the next step

    b) Perform a system restore > start with the oldest system restore point and keep repeating to the most recent as necessary > if USB problems persist or if system restore fails or if there are no system restore points advance to the next step

    c) open command prompt and plan to uninstall the last one or two windows updates > the steps will be provided if you come to this step

Please indicate which steps were or were not done.
    What happened with each step?

Find a camera or smartphone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread.

Well. I only did the startup trick you mentioned and suddenly I only get to see the blue Microsoft windows logo with no spinning dots. The hdd light is active though... But that remains blue. Also found the bootdvd but the bios skips it because the keyboard is not working so I can't get to the boot menu to swap the boot order around.

Please test USB ports with a bootable windows 10 iso.
Then if necessary advance to the next step in the prior post.

Yeah but how am I going to achieve this when the pc won't pick up the keyboard at boot and the boot DVD is not seen? It's still whizzing doing nothing at all... And all that I see is a fancy blue logo on a black screen without the white spinning dots. So the whole pc can't boot off of the DVD whatsoever. I think I trashed it...

Well after several reboots the loading is back to normal but Still no power to the keyboard AND mouse. Damn if I only had a ps/2 keyboard cuz there are connections for those in the back...

Update : it's the system itself. Something inside windows went terribly gaga....

When possible please create a Windows 10 iso.
With the USB ports that are not working please connect the bootable windows 10 iso.
Then try to boot to the Windows 10 iso.
