Has My Windows Lost Its Mind?

Hello everyone. I recently updated my Windows 10 to version 1903. Afterwards my RAM speed decreased (or at least it seems so). I have 2x8 gb 3000 Mhz RAM. Before the update Task Manager showed its speed as 3000. Now it's 1500. Why is this so?

    Strange.

On my primary system (AMD, 470X), Task Manager doesn't display the RAM frequency. On my number 2 system (Intel, x99), it shows the DDR RAM frequency (2133 MHz), not the actual clock frequency (1066 MHz).

On my AMD system, CPU-Z shows the actual clock frequency (1500 MHz). The BIOS settings show the DDR frequency (3000 MHz).

I see the same, but can't say what a previous Windows build said.

I'm wondering if this is because now a figure respecting DDR RAM is used. See:
How to Check RAM Speed - Tech Advisor

    where it says of CPU-Z:

Click the Memory tab to find a bunch of information about your computer's memory. The one you're looking for is the top entry: ‘DRAM Frequency’.

As you'll see in our screenshot our RAM is 534MHz, but because it's DDR RAM (Double Data Rate) we multiply that figure by two to get a final figure of 1068MHz.
So you could compare what HWINFO and CPU-Z say as well.

    Let's see what others say.
