Windows 10 V1903 (build 18362.295)

Several USB 3.0 Seagate (LaCie) drives are not recognized on Windows 10. Once the drive gets connected it is blinking for 20-30 sec. and then goes to sleep. This happens on different Notebooks and on a Desktop - all Win10. This happens regardless if I use powered/non-powered USB on Notebook or mother board or front USB on Desktop. The drive never shows up in Explorer or on Drive management and I have no drive letter issue either as the drive never loads at all.

I used the same drive(s) and cable on a windows 7 PC and it gets recognized immediately. This is valid for al drives of this model. So I assume it is neither the drive nor the cable causing the problem. It must be something related to Windows 10 managing these drives.

They all worked and still work on Windows 7 but not on WIN10. They do work and get mounted on a Router USB port but not on a Windows 10 system USB 2.0 or 3.0 port.

Seagate support said they do not provide or create any drivers but use OS drivers provided by Microsoft. As the drive seems not to be defective - it starts and works under Win7- they referred me to Microsoft......

Before opening that can of worms I thought someone would know an alternative solution on how to connect the Seagate P9223 USB3.0 drives to Windows 10 systems directly.
