Windows 10 Install does not find hardware

I have been trying to upgrade Windows 7 Pro 64-bit to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I have used both the purchased USB that came with the OS purchase and the downloaded version. In both cases things go smoothly, but the new OS doesn't recognize my LinkSys USB AE3000 network card or my Nvidea Quadro 410 video. Therefore I cannot use the Internet and the screen on my 1920 X 1080 monitor is not fully utilized. Device manager says I have a Microsoft generic video driver.

I find no way to activate the network or to properly use my video.

    What am I doing wrong?

Old hardware is not always going to be supported after a certain period. You an download the drivers as has been the case in the past when installing Windows or any OS not supported by the hardware.

using an unsupported network card so windows is relying on whatever generic drivers it has in stock and cant contact the wddm catalog website to download latest drivers for all your hardware after setup .

all i can think of to ease up your life is getting yourself yet another generic 150 N usb dongle that floats the internet for 4 USD to get to the internet and have all your drivers updated properly . now if that's a problem the next thing would be attempting to use your phone to download the proper driver for the LinkSys USB AE3000 then transfer and install it over your pc then let windows take care of things forward .

On an internet computer go to the Dell Support/Download drivers site and type in your Service Tag# or use this link https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/precision-t1650/drivers Download the Chipset drivers, then View All 29 drivers at the bottom and download your nVidia Quadro driver at the bottom, save them to a USB Flash drive. Put the flash drive in the troubled computer and install them . Install the Chipset driver first, and restart afterwards then your nVidia driver, then Restart.
