Hi, you say Win 10 has updated- from what to what? What sort of update? New build? Windows update? Driver update?

What is your current Windows build? Windows key + r, winver.

What does your Device Manager show for this device?

Have you tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it?

Windows 10 automatic update from the older version to version 1803 that installed on 8/18.

The Stellar Gain Cell Dac/Pre doesn't show up in the device manager, only in the event viewer.

I may have, but I don't recall installing any drivers. I shot PS Audio a question about whether the GCD requires the driver via the link you provided.

Thanks for your help so far.

Yes, and that's when the comp no longer recognized the dac. I confirmed the usb port and the cable are functioning.

Thank you for your reply. I greatly appreciate it.

Instruction #4, there is no driver listed in "programs and drivers". I will wait to find out if the driver is necessary from PS Audio. I'll let you know what they say and if the problem is resolved.
