    Hi Steve,

    have it on my W7, shoulda checked my W10,
    Looks like its been depracted, good ol MS never seemed to have mentioned it.

    if you want try to reimport the control panel option via its old guid

    Your gonna have to import them from a W7 Iso.

    @ Hank Poley (post #12 above). Your code for: "How to uninstall under PowerShell running as Administrator" has errors, so it does nothing. The corrected code removes the drivers as you intended, but this cases BSOD on reboot.

    These are system drivers. All methods above either leave them running or cause BSOD when they are stopped.

    Waste of time, and dangerous, especially for anyone foolish enough to remove these drivers without a system restore point.

    See post 11. I left the driver alone for the reasons you mentioned but removed the disk filter which effectively disables the driver function.

    Sorry Steve, still a waste of time. Both drivers (accelerometer and dskfsk) remain installed to consume their usual resources (see autoruns).

    LowerFilters gets automatically replaced in the Registry entry in my experience.

    Why bother to interfere with driver function if the driver remains active to consume resources?

    The HP driver does no damage to any SSD and claims to be smart enough to skip an SSD by itself.

    Where is the evidence that these 'fixes' achieve anything but danger?
