The iso is on a usb drive.
It doesn´t work that way. Format the UFD with FAT32, mount the ISO, copy its contents to the UFD.

arbee has hopefully followed these instructions to create a bootable drive:
MS's media creation tool can readily create a bootable disk for you.

in addition beware that if you have UEFI enabled in bios the bootable USB format has to be Fat32 and not NTFS , in case you cant manage to create a bootable Fat32 setup flash drive then disabling UEFI option in bios might be your only option .
He could use Rufus to copy the ISO to the drive in FAT32.

Thanks for all the replies. Just toclarify a bit. I amtrying to install win 10 using a bootable usb. I have tried the win media creation tool and rufus to load the iso and both got the same fail result.
After considering for a bit I don't think it is the install software that is fault I think it is the laptop not seeing the SSD.
The first thing I tried last weekwas clone to the SSD using macrium reflect and that didn't work.In the bios//boot menu the drives were showing as not available.

Hi, as asked before: is it visible if you boot to BIOS?
(You can post photos of what you see)
    If so:
As asked before: if you boot your PC using Kyhi's boot disk, is it visible? (familiar Win 10 environment)

Note: you can also try booting your PC using your Win 10 installation disk, but this time click 'Repair your computer' and navigate thru the prompts to a command prompt, and again see if you can find it.
(You will need to be confident in using the commands)

    You said:
The SSD is not new and has been working with win 10 in the laptop I am trying to install it on again.
    - which should imply it's configured correctly.

You also said you formatted it (so it was clearly available then).

I guess now it's basic fault finding.. e.g.

Solved - SSD not Detected in BIOS

More if you care to search for (e.g.)
formatted SSD not available in BIOS

    Thanks Dalchina.
Yes it was in this laptop but I was going to use it in another laptop so I took it out and formatted ready to install. Unfortunately for various reasons it did not happen so that is why I am having this problem.

well you can quote that to him rather as quoting 3rd party tools may require providing the steps as well , something i can't afford since i am on vacation , all i wanted with the post is to hint that Fat32 format saves him alot of additional troubles including the one he is suffering from atm :)
