    Printing Colours Inverted

    Hello,

Recently after updating to the Windows 10 May 2019 Update, I have noticed a problem. Whenever I print a document, (Usually a document with plain black text on a white sheet of paper) the colour soft-of inverts, causing the printer to make the entire page black and the font to white in the middle of it. My printer is a Brother MFC-L2700DW Series. Please help, I have looked on some other forums and no-one seems to have the same problem as I do.

    Regards,
    Toydotgame

Hi Toydotgam. Welcome to TenForums @Toydotgam

I would try to print to Microsoft PDF printer. If you get the same results then I would question app that is creating document for print. You didn't mention, what are you using Word, Open Office, Libre Office, Other.

If it comes out normal I would check the printer. First thing I would do is uninstall the L2700DW printer and software and then get the most current versions from Brothers. Before uninstalling go to Brother and get the software.

The first thing is to reset the printer and remove the printer device and drivers from the system. Reset Your Brother Machine

How to properly remove a printer on Windows 10 | Windows Central

See Downloads | MFC-L2700DW | Others | Brother for drivers and firmware. When you get the drivers and software reinstalled, then do the firmware update for the printer.

You also want to change out the Toner and Fuser. You can get parts at mfc-2700dw | Partsmart. Sad thing is that you can get a new one cheaper these days. I went with a separate scanner and printer. I use the Samsung m2825 for printing, Xerox Documate 3220 for scanning.

I am using Windows notepad for the text document.

I have the same problem. I have a Brother MFC-2740 printer (b&w laser printer). I never had this problem before with any computer connected to this printer, including the Windows and Mac computers currently printing to it (both via wifi and via ethernet). The problem also includes printing the Test page from Printer Properties, and persists in all software. I uninstalled the printer driver, restarted the computer and printer both, reinstalled driver, no luck.

Think I asked this before, is it just this printer or does the same thing happen when you use the MS PDF printer?
