    My Function Keys Aren't Working

So recently I noticed that a bunch of my drivers were out of date so I went and got a program that scanned and updated my drivers for me, called Driver Booster 6, but shortly after doing so my function keys stopped working. On my laptop there is a function key to turn your touchpad off (in order to use the mouse without the touchpad interfering) and I kept pressing it with nothing happening. I also can't change my brightness at all.

I tried checking for keyboard driver updates and apparently my drivers are up to date, so I really don't know what's happening, please help.

This is exactly the reason that using third party driver updating utilities is never a good idea, and it would appear that the one you have chosen to use has installed incorrect drivers for your keyboard.

Go to your laptop manufacturer's website & download drivers for your keyboard - there may also be an additional driver for any non-standard keys or buttons.

    1) Get rid of Driver Booster 6, uninstall it.

    2) Each laptop manufacturer has a driver for the Function Keys on Laptops, you need to find the system driver from ASUS support, usually it is part of something else.
    Then install it.

    3) If you really want an updater use the one provided by ASUS, or Windows updates.

My laptop is an ASUS ROG Strix GL503VD, I went onto the website and there's a whole bunch of terminology I'm unfamiliar with, can you guys help me figure out which one I need to download and what I do with it after it's downloaded?

Thank you for all the help so far!

    Try ATK package.
    They list 3 of those.
As you can see some inconsistences in version numbers and dates.
I would first try the latest dated one.

There may also be Function key settings in your UEFI/BIOS or ASUS utilities that may need looking at/setting as well.

Download Zip file save it to your folder of choice, Extract all the files, double click on setup.exe
