    Disk management query

I have spotted an unallocated partition in Disk Management. Is this a problem? How do I get rid of it if necessary?

That's a lot of wasted space you can use...slightly bigger than your System partition. Just Right click on it and create a new simple volume. Select default size (maximum), Format to NTFS, Give it whatever volume label you want, select default allocation unit size, and select quick format. That's it..done. It'll create a new Primary Partition to use as you wish

Thanks for info Sportsfan. I have done what you suggested (i set the drive letter to e) and get the message .....There is not enough space on the disk to complete this operation.

I recommend using MiniTool Partition Wizard to manage partitions. It's easy to use and you can peruse the contents of hidden partitions.

Open disk management > by default some columns are compressed > widen each Status and Volume > make sure the contents within the parenthesis are in full view and that none of the characters are cutoff > view disk 0 > widen this row as needed so that all of the characters are in full view > post an image into the thread
