Help i did "diskpart and need to find ssd

Hi, i wanted to wipe my backup ssd and then tranfer files to it after, i used "diskpart" it then disappeared from my pc.
I ran diskmangment and it said something like it needed to be configured, i selected GPT.
In disk managment its there but it say unallocated , not sure what the next step is.
    Thanks Mark

If it is seen as unallocated space in Disk Management, you should be able to format it right there. Select that space and look at the "action" menu.

If Unallocated, may need to create a Simple Volume..... equivalent in the end to formatting an existing partition.

Right click the unallocated>Simple Volume. Get this screen and follow directions.

After creating a New Simple Volume...just go through the wizard. Select the simple volume size..I leave it at default which is the maximum. Select a drive letter..again I take the default that it gives me. Format to NTFS, default allocation unit size and leave it on Quick Format. That's all you have to do. The drive will show up then as partitioned and ready for use
