Is the Synaptics advanced settings available when you check for properties of the touchpad in Device Manager? See this to check if the registry shows the entry and also gives you steps. It is about disabling, but shows you what you need to be able to enable. How to: Disable touchpad when mouse is connected in Windows 10

No it doesn't. There should be no resource conflict between the built in touchpad and any USB device connected. I use my trackball with my laptop all the time and switch back and forth between the two with no issues. There is a trackpad setting that will disable it if another pointing device is detected. I have that turned off.

I have several M570's on the go here, and other Logitech keyboards etc that all use the Unifying reciever. I don't install the Logitech software. I do sometimes install just the Unifying utility if I have to link or unlink a device to the dongle. All my Logitech stuff works with the basic Windows 10 drivers. The only things that don't work are those Blue special keys on my Keyboards.
I have had the micro switches go bad on my M570's from time to time. Mostly because I play FPS games with my M570. I just bought an inexpensive Logitech mouse and robbed it of its click switches. Then replace the bad one in my M570 with the good one from the mouse. I'm a retired electronic technician so its not a big deal for me to do that. Saves me buying another M570. I think I've replaced one button in each of the two I own. I get multi clciks when they go bad. I press the mouse button once and get a double click etc. I don't remeber it clicking all on its own though. Or sticking on (clicked).

Is there any risk of it connecting the mouse to my dell windows 10 laptop? I made sure to remove the mouse because it keeps clicking crazy sometimes which i risk it deleting my files on my desktop. Because of that, i dont even want to connect it to my dell laptop.

Is there a way to check my trackball mouse on my other computer? A chromebook?

I haven't used mine on any Apple products but I don't see why it wouldn't work? If it is a flacky button / switch you'll get the same clicking on its own without you doing it.

I have been through about 7 of the M570’s. I have had them since they first came out. As has been said they wear out There are 2 small SMD switches that control things. the plastic tabs that push them wear out. They are now cheap enough that when the start malfunctioning dump them and get another. Sadly I have noticed in the last 5 years the quality of the M570 has gone down along with price.

I have now moved on to a Corsair wired gaming mouse.

Well i don't have any tools to open it the mouse up. Also i never done this before and im not tech savy. But is there anything someone non tech savy could try to maybe get this m570 trackball mouse to work again? Like someone mentioned spray something inside it?

So there is no reset button or software thing i can do with it right? Also when you first set the mouse up, does logitech install any software? Im close to 100 percent sure it did not... it was like connect the usb into usb port then it wait a bit and recognize it right? Im pretty certain thats how this mouse is when you first use it brand new?

Its not a software isuue, its a hardware isuue. Near as I can tell anyway. Based on my past experince. There is no majic reset. As far as the PC is concerned its just a HID compliant Mouse, a USB mouse. It doesn't even know its wireless. The Logitech software is optional and you have to install it manually.
I do believe one of the screws is hidden under a label on the bottom, and a couple more are under the rubber feet. It's been a while since i've had one of mine appart.

But have you heard of anyone having this issue similar to mine? My previous logitech mouse that has issues, these are the regular wireless mouse and not trackball, they would go bad after a year or so but its more the clicking issue as it can't click that well etc. But it has zero affect on my laptop trackpad not working.

But i never heard of the trackball mouse having these issues where... it affects the laptop trackpad itself. Like even if trackball mouse has issues, shouldn't the laptop trackpad have no issues at all?

So you are saying this trackball mouse is no good and might as well throw it away then right and get new one?

If you have two pointing devices, and one is doing things all by itself, it will affect what happens when your using the other pointing device.
Use your track pad and let a somebody play with your mouse at the same time and see what happens.
If the micro switch has gone bad and is randomly shorting out, it will appear like random mouse clicks. I'm not sure what happens if the button sticks permanently on.
I think its a hardware issue and you need to replace it. If you think its a software issue have at it. I have no idea what to do in that instance though.
