Partitioning Drives & Using the 2nd Partition for Programs

Ok so, I have a 240GB SSD. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to do a fresh install of Windows 10, and Split the Partitions. Maybe have 20GB used for Windows 10, and use the other partition to install software. Would that be beneficial even though I have an SSD or is it just a waste of time?

Wast of time and dodge as a lot of software writes dlls to c drive no matter were you install it

What benefit would you hope to gain? And I agree, waste of time and waste of space.

20GB is too small for windows. You can use Minitool Partition Wizard to create a second user partition without reinstalling Windows.

If you only have one drive, you could create a second partition and use that to make fast Reflect backups, although you will also need to make backups to another drive to recover if your main drive fails.

As soon as I know I have all of my software installed, I'm going to create a custom recovery partition. That won't be for another couple of days though.
