I already said I ran all of the procedures in your link. Are you saying you have seen this grayscale problem due to the network. If so give me more detail. I'm in the networking programming business so give me all the details. Remember my wife is also on WiFi and she does not have the problem. Anyway, it is connected on the network.
Hi, Ed
I'm running 1903 18362.239. I have my printer used as a network on a router for 2 pcs, a desktop and a laptop. Both print via a router. I went both ways, using start, settings, etc and via control panel. Both ways took me to the following properties:
As you can see, black and white and color are the options. It sounds like you're going to have to uninstall the printer in question on your pc and them re-installing it. It might be a driver problem.
You could try the solution in this link:Solved: Re: Can only print in grayscale - HP Support Community - 6638446
Think you have some kind of Network services HP driver installed.
I know next to nothing about Networks but my HP Printer is Networked with wireless to the Router.
I used the Full Feature driver download from HP, that was installed before connecting up to the internet to stop a generic driver being potentially installed following HP instructions.
Some applications like Edge seem only to show a preview in colour, though the printer selection is Black & White and it prints correctly in B & W.
In Adobe Acrobat Reader can get a preview in B & W by ticking the appropriate box. It prints correctly as per the Printer preferences in both cases which is what matters.
This is the Windows 10 Settings way to Printer preferences, the Control Panel way changes quality wording "Better" to "Normal".
Attachment 240234
My hp 6500 plus all in one is also wirelessly attached to my lan. Mine looks like Helmut. I also used the full feature software install.
Eddy, whats under the advanced tab?
