Windows 10 Recovery Boot Loop after switching from AHCI to IDE!

So, for some time I had dual boot with Windows 7 and Windows 10 installed.
Recently I changed my motherboard, and it all seemed fine for some time.
    Windows 10 worked just fine.

Then one day, I decided to go back to Windows 7 to do some stuff I couldn't on the new OS.
It was stuck in a boot loop.

The fix for that was to switch from AHCI to IDE SATA option in UEFI Bios (ASUS).

It did fix Windows 7, and it worked flawlessly. Up until the point... where my Windows 10 couldn't boot up at all.

So what happens now, is windows 10 is stuck in a recovery menu, creating that error log file.

What seems to be strange is the way boot behaves.
My C: drive is set to Windows 10. Yet when I list all the partitions it shows Windows 10 as letter D:.

And even more interesting, that error log goes to letter I:

When checking that partition it shows it as hidden.

Tried the method with registry... where you would backup and replace the config files.

    Really in need of help.

Also when switching back from IDE to AHCI, nothing happens. Basically says that none drives have Windows installed.

List of drives shown from Windows 7:

The drive letters are assigned to a partition by the OS. IF you boot from Win 10, C: is the Win 10 partition and Win 7 partition will have a different letter. IF you boot from Win 7, C: is the Win 7 partition and Win 10 partition will have a different letter.

Fist of all, switch from IDE SATA back to AHCI option in UEFI Bios.
Try to boot Win 10. Once you able to boot Win 10 we will try to fix win 7.

Is your disk a Legacy - MBR or UEFI - GPT ?

When I switch to AHCI, it doesn't go back to what it was. Actually nothing happens when I switch to AHCI.
    I'll take screenshots.

I think that they're all MBR:

In Windows 7 you need to remove the IDE drive controller from device manager. Then shutdown the computer and switch the SATA controller to AHCI mode.

When you say IDE drive controller from device manager, what exactly do you mean? Because I'm tampering with this hard drive stuff just now. Hahahahaha

I assume I'm supposed to uninstall one by one or?

All disks are Legacy - MBR but cant identify in witch disks the volumes are.
Open Disk Manager, expand the columns so we can read them and take a snapshot of the whole window. Post it here as an attachment.

Disk 0 isn't set as active so it can't boot.
Only Disk 1 (win 7) and disk 3 are set as active.

This is what I would do.
    - switch from IDE SATA back to AHCI option in UEFI Bios.
    - Detach All other disks leaving on only disk 0 (Win10)
    - Boot from a Win 10 installation disk and do a boot repair.

Once you able to boot Win 10 we will try to fix win 7.

Maybe Navy has a better suggestion.

Yes, but by his "Remove IDE controller" does he mean remove all of those drivers in device manager?

Also probably should have mentioned earlier that BSOD error that I get is this:
    "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE"

    Summary:

    1. When I switch to AHCI from IDE, this happens:
Windows 10 Recovery Boot Loop after switching from AHCI to IDE!-img_20190709_190819.jpg

    2. When Windows 10 boots up, I'm prompted with this greetings screen:
Windows 10 Recovery Boot Loop after switching from AHCI to IDE!-img_20190709_191109.jpg

    3. The ONLY way to get boot to work, from that black screen, this is for both IDE/AHCI, is to have this as my boot drive which is the one active for Win7:
Windows 10 Recovery Boot Loop after switching from AHCI to IDE!-img_20190709_191421.jpg

This 300 GB drive, is my Windows 7 drive.
Basically like you said, ONLY if I select THAT drive, it'll go both Windows 10/Windows 7 dualboot sequence hence the thing where disk0 isn't active like disk1/3.

The drive, where Windows 10 is installed gives the black screen because it isn't active?
And upon checking where the boot partition is, says Windows 10 . =particion c:
And in volume list, shows that same drive as D:

I also don't understand why does it save the error log on I: ?

(Partition check was done through Windows 10 Advanced Repair Tools)

I managed to find this, and it's literally my problem described 100%. If anyone else has this problem, here's the thread:

Unfortunately even when I try safemode, it shows the desktop for a split second and instantly goes back to recovery menu.

As I wrote before, you cant boot Win 10 disk because it isn't active.
What you're doing is using the Win 7 boot loader to boot Win 7 and Win 10.

Please try what I described on post #8
