RAM Sticks Question

    Yes that is their QVL list. Might me updated from what I posted in post #6

    Not sure it is priced that bad... definitely more than current production ram.

    Have you monitored your memory in Task Manager. How often are you pushing past 6GB?

    For everyday usage it uses 3.3 GB. For 3D games and emulators about 4.2 GB in total depending on the game. I'm not going to upgrade the RAM. It's fine where it is.

    For the ASUS P5Q PRO Turbo motherboard, can it handle two 4 GB sticks of RAM?

    If you have downloaded the QVL, you already know that the answer is yes.

    According to Crucial, the board supports up to 4 X 4GB (16 GB total), although they don't seem to have any 4 GB DIMMs that they sell for that board. (It's a 10 year old motherboard, running DDR2.)
