Windows 10 keyboard is not working properly

    Hello,

My windows 10 keyboard is not working properly, I tried reinstalling the keyboard using device manager and restarting the system yet the problem still occurs and I reinstall the keyboard again ... and so on.

Example: when my keyboard is not working properly it types a number instead of a letter and vice versa.

    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using a different keyboard? (or external keyboard if you're using a laptop)

A fair number of smaller laptops do not have room for a proper numeric keypad. to get around this they include an area of the standard keys that can produce numbers for data entry purposes when a Fuction key or key combination is pressed.

check if your keyboard has this facility and how it is activated, you may have done this accidentally

Check if your keyboard is set to match your country in Regional Settings.

R-click on the clock in the Notification area—right side of Taskbar.
    Click on 'Adjust Date/Time'.

In the Settings screen which opens, click on 'Region & language' in left menu.
Make sure the main settings are correct for you.

You shouldn't need it, but fyi on right side of that screen, there is 'Advanced keyboard settings'.

PS did you see the 2 posts above my first one?

Sounds more like Barman says about the num lock buttons. Please check this also as might be a simple pressing of the num lock key :)
