    USB 3.1 Gen 2 header

I'd like to add a USB 3.1 Gen 2 header to my computer, As the pic shows, the case is pretty open and mounting a header, if that is the right term, should be fairly easy.
The "front" of the case, where I sit, on the left.
I have looked around Google, found a few ideas, but wanted to tap into the experience here since it has always proven the best resource.

The standard jargon: the thing on the motherboard is the header, you wish to add a port.

What sort of port do you wish to add? Type A or Type C?

Here's a cable and bracket to give you a Type C socket in one of the rear accessory card slots:

That header is a 20-pin and is 3.1 Gen 2 and was designed to connect to the front of the case but should work with bracket bobkn linked to.

On the rear of the MB you have three 3.2 Gen 2 A connectors and one 3.2 Gen 2 C connector.

Thanks to both of you for the suggestion and correction. Your suggestion bobkn is pretty much what I am looking for, would prefer a Type A port, if possible. Now that I have the correct terminology, I should be able to improve my search results.

Jim, I've been using the ports on the rear of the MB, but that requires standing up and reaching a little. can't be doing that all the time -

Let the Type A port search begin............................

Another option would be a 3.1 gen 2 (10Gb) USB hub, which could be desktop mounted from the existing rear ports.
    They aren't cheap though (yet).

Thanks Infrasonic - have seen a couple of them and they ain't cheap.

Another option I am considering is using a USB extension cable from back port to front of case. Right to left in above picture.

Cheaper by far, just check the specs though.
There's a lot of cheap '3.1 gen 2 (10Gb)' cables floating around that aren't up to specification (or are blatantly USB 2 cables...). Stick with the reputable brands.

I do this whenever it is possible.

By sliding the computer to the left, I can reach the back with very little effort - who'd a thunk it -
