    Agree, start with the store. If you're past the return policy, RMA to WD. The last time I RMA'd one of their drives (some years back), the process was quick and easy with a fast return.

    As a side note, the only HDD drives I've ever used (still use) are Western Digital drives (since 1998). I've always found them to be consistently reliable. So much so, I just this week bought four 6TB Red NAS drives from them. This not to say their drives don't or can't fail, I'm simply saying they have a high consistency of not failing as opposed to failing.

    I am agree, I use only HD Western Digital also and never I had problems with their HDD drives. This is the first time with a probleme. This brand is very professional, safe and high quality, so I hope I will not have problemes with the warranty.
