Driver for USB XBOX 360 Controller (wired) is wanted

    Hello.
When I connect my USB XBOX360 controller I get this error:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because the device configuration information (in the registry) is defective or corrupted. (Code 19).

If I try to update the driver I got the message, that the best driver is allready installed. How do I uninstall this driver, and reinstall it again?

I have tried in both USB 2 and USB 3 slots. No difference.
Yes, I have newest BIOS 1801.
I'm on Winver 18362.1 as an insider slow ring, but no other insiders seems to have this problem.

Put the Xbox controller in the red slot USB slot behind and tell me if it works.
These two red slots provided by as-media 3.1 controller.

leave the controller in the red slot and install the as-media USB 3.1 3142 driver from station drivers:

Even if it not work the as-media drivers for this controller are better than the default.
After the install restart your machine.

I have installed the driver, rebooted, and then I tried again, but same error. I will keep this new driver, as I have lost confidence on Windows build in drivers, if it is so difficult to get a driver and reinstall it, when something brake down! Thanks for the link

Expand the USB (Universal serial bus controller) and take a photo. I want to see if the drivers installed properly.
Also in the bios you can see if u have xchi handoff to enabled or disabled?
