Found Old SSD Card, How To Test It Out?

I have an old laptop that no longer works and notice there is an SD card in the slot. All i says on it is SD ... nothing else. How do i test this SD card? I went to my amazon history and saw many years ago i bought a 32gb sd card but the one that is listed which i did buy... the wording isn't the same as on this SD card so im not sure if this is the same one. How do i find out if this SD card works? How do i know if its 32gb? Can you use it with a security camera like the wyze camera now if this SD camera is say over 7 years old minimum?

Okay so apparently its not a micro sd card? It has SD big on it and it fit in a slot in an old asus laptop of mine. My other laptops that i use now don't even have a spot for this sd card?

SD card readers are quite cheap, some the size and shape of a usb stick are available. Whether or not it is worth spending money on testing your card is up to you.

If there is no data on it, it is not worth to buy card reader to check it. New 32GB MicroSD costs about 4 euro.

If you really want to read its contents, get a USB SD Card reader. They can be obtained quite cheaply.

If you want to test SD card (this one, or any other one in future) this tool is quite handy - to ensure the card matches the stated capacity.

Would this micro sd card be compatible with my wyze camera that i just bought? I did buy item over 6 years ago though.


How do i check if it works or not? I found it in an old android phone of mine in the microsd slot.

Why not plug it in and see? You said it was full size then posted a picture of a micro. If it looks the same try it.

If it doesn't fit, and if you still have them in your country, take it to a Cyber Café or a printing shop and ask them. That would cost something between nothing and 15 minutes I'd have thought.
