USB stick previously used as a boot stick for Killdisk not recognized

    I agree -- However I uninstalled minipartition tool -- don't like the interface any more and takes forever to load. (V11).

    Gparted I find does what I want without problems but like all these things a lot of time it's the actual program Interface or GUI that people prefer that will make them decide.

    Even a Windows install disk can be used for "re-partitioning"! -- just delete and set partition sizes and then cancel the Windows install. Of course decent partition managers allow dynamic moving and re-sizing without losing data - but if you have to create new ones then in an emergency the Windows install disk / USB can be used !!.

    I used the portable Mini Partition Tool and it solved the problem. Thanks everyone for your help.

    This might sound sacrilegious but if you have a mac (sorry) disk utility (comes with)should wipe that clean no prob
