Thanks for sharing. Grabbing it now for my Z170 system. Will report back here if this causes any issues.

Oh, so what's the deal here? Can I safely deploy on my PC (Z170)?

The latest one I got (via HP) is a bit dated (v11.7.0.1057 Rev.A):

Driver - OMEN by HP 870-000 Desktop PC series | HP® Customer Support

And I sincerely doubt HP will release update one.

I put it on my Mobile Intel® HM370 Chipset and works ok, without problems.
I already take this kind of stuff directly from Intel without waiting for Asus.
If your PC is Z170 you should put it.

Installed on my PC just now, will see how it gets on.

Surprisingly, I spotted that none of the previous versions that HP had released for my PC (and I had surely had installed them before) was there - it was a generic IME driver only, probably supplied by MS.
What's more, it was installed on 10/10/2018, so week after 1809 has landed on my PC (03/10/2018).
And what makes it the most interesting of all affairs: my on-going issues with unexplained BSODs stopped around then as well.
    @cwsink, FYI.

    Note   Note

Intel MEI is on of those drivers, where to check the actual version of the package install, you need to go to Programs & Features.
Device manager only shows the ME driver, but MEI install package has more components like iCLS and DAL...

True that. But that's not all.

That's how it does look in the Device Manager, in the driver history section (Events):

And currently available options based on packages deployed on my PC to date and not purged:

It was the first item (100 Series / C230 Series) that was present there today where I updated IME.

How does one know what to install once it's unzipped?
