Keyboard does not work in safe mode.

So I just built a brand new gaming pc, and there was a black screen on the monitor because I didn't plug it into the graphics card and instead on the IO shield. I decided to turn the pc onto safe mode but then I realized I plugged the hdmi into the wrong place. I fixed the graphics card issue but my pc is still in safe mode. After I log into the computer and try to type in the bottom left box to turn safe mode off, the keyboard doesn't work. I then tried going to update and security but the tab just crashed. Could anyone explain how to fix this in easy steps because I am sort of a newbie to pc building.

1)This link has command line, if needed, to turn off safe mode:

2) Keyboards should work in all modes.
Check USB 3 and 2 ports.
If it is a desktop check ports in front and back.

3) Update the system specs in the "My Computer" section:

In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

4) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
5) sfc /scannow
6) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
7) chkdsk /scan
8) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

Unfortunately I did this on my phone because I cannot type in the browser either. I dont get the first step because I can't find where to turn it off in the link. It just shows how to turn it on. The keyboard and mouse are on, but the keyboard just won't work in the browser or in the bottom left box.

Consider system restore.
Consider using Windows RE on a Windows10 iso if the computers advanced troubleshooting menu cannot be opened.

I have tried those steps but for the fourth it says it does not work in safe mode. I think I'll try the system restore, and if that doesn't work I'll take it to the store to get it fixed. Thanks so much for the help.

I was browsing through the internet and thought of changing it in command prompt. I used the run box and typed in msconfig because for some reason I could type in the box and the thing popped up where I first enabled it. Anyways, I appreciate the help.

Create a bootable windows 10 iso.

Boot to the windows 10 iso windows advanced troubleshooting menu.

Use a camera or smartphone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread.


Click command prompt > this should open a black box with title bar: Administrator: X:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe and prompt: X:\sources>
