Question Replacement 92mm Exhaust Fan for my Asus G11CD-K Desktop

Will This fan be fine at 1600RPM's for using as an Exhaust Fan?

Noctua NF-B9 redux-1600 PWM, 4-Pin, High Performance Cooling Fan with 1600RPM (92mm, Grey)

Hopefully works fine, and all is well, previous fan started having issues with spinning, and was making more noise, so was like time to purchase another one, and replace it, and hopefully will be all fine

I use Noctua fans and am satisfied, but I have no experience with the Redux line.

A Newegg reviewer says this fan is NOT a PWM fan, despite the description. Are you relying on it to be PWM?

Hard to say if it will meet your expectations as we don't know your temps or by how much you are trying to drive down temperatures.

If it is spinning at above 1000 rpm, I'd expect it to be audible at 3 or 4 feet. No problem if a bit of noise doesn't bother you.

I have a Noctua CPU cooler that uses this 92 mm fan:

    Noctua NF-A9 PWM, 4-Pin Premium Cooling Fan - Newegg.com

It's a bit more expensive than the one you are considering, but it is PWM for sure. But maybe you are one of those who is horrified by the color?

Well not trying to drive down temps too much, average while gaming up to 76C at times, but usually not much higher than that. This is my first time ordering a Noctua Fan for rear exhaust for the system, bit of noise doesn't bother me at all, just want good working exhaust fan, cpu fan works fine so far, and Power supply.

No experience with any of the models personally, first one i ever ordered.

But will see how it goes after install, and i think so far i'll be satisifed it appears in my mind at moment

Noctua lists 2 versions of the NF-B9. One has a 4 pin connector, and uses PWM. The other has a 3 pin, and does not.

It looks like the fan headers on the motherboard are both 4 pin. (There are only 2 of them.)

I wonder what the max RPM of the original fan was?

Yeah i don't know, it was OEM fan that originally came with my Asus G11CD-K in 2017, Asus documentation doesn't say what original max RPM was on that particular fan. Hopefully works fine when arrives, and all set lol, guess will see once fan arrives and is installed
