USB Conexant Modem Not Working With Windows 10

I've had to recently reset my PC to upgrade to Windows 10 1809.

This is done but my Modem no longer works.

It is a USB Conexant model, one of these:

I have the CD with drivers and have tried them all.

Tried downloading various drivers/Windows Update etc.

This has happened before - a Creators update automatically fixed the problem.

    Any ideas?

    Hi otronics

Does your device show installed correctly in device manager?

If not could you do this to see what it is seeing.

Right click Start, click Device Manager, right click device you are having issue with, click “Properties”, click on “Details” tab, in “Property” box use the drop down to select “Hardware IDs”, copy and paste first line in “Value” box to Google. Google can usually tell you what device driver you are looking for.

You could then follow this link in hopes it provides a more robust driver.

Press the Windows key+X and choose Device Manager. In the Device Manager, if there is a yellow flag next to a device, right click it and Uninstall it. Remove the USB modem from the computer end. and restart your computer.
Open the CD and copy the Driver install files to a folder on your computer. Open up the folder and Right Click Setup.exe and choose Properties/Compatibility make it compatible with Windows 7 or XP. Put a check in Run As Administrator. Apply and OK, Double click Setup.exe to install the driver. When it tells you to, or When it is done installing, plug in the USB Modem

Thanks - Snappy Driver fixed it (had to disable and re-enable driver signing though).
