    Ram 4 slot Question

I already have 2 x 8 gb ram and speed is 3000 mhz and i can overclock it to 2800 mhz two ram without issues.

I Just bought another 2 x 8gb ram same model same speed.

But if i insert 4 all ram i cannot run it on 2800mhz. it always reset to default 2133mhz.

    Already cleared CMOS jumper.

I even tried my 2 new ram inserting it without my 2 other old ram and it works fine on 2800mhz.

I have the latest Bios on my motherboard.

Could be 4 ram same model and speed has issues if inserted 4 slot vs 2 slot only?

What kind of mobo do you have and what is the max ram it will accept?

How did you get the model number of your current ram to make sure you have the exact same kind?

    From the manual:

The more DIMMs you have the higher the electrical load on the memory bus, and the more difficult it is to drive the memory signals at high frequencies.

No, no real fix. There are two memory controllers in the CPU, one for each bank and when both banks are used it can't handle all memory bandwidth. Might be able to coax it to 2400MHz manually but will require quit a lot of more energy for CPU making it run hotter.
If you want you can try manual settings using: Download DRAM Calculator for Ryzen | TechPowerUp

It also helps if RAM is bought as a set or you could install two 16GB modules.

You would expect that, no surprise at all.
Kits of 2 modules bought at different times is not the same as a Kit of 4.
    Production batches vary.

It is basically 2133 MHz RAM modules.

Anything higher is very much a maybe. Marketing it as 3000 MHz is misleading.
It says in the specs "Rated XMP frequency & stability depends on MB & CPU capability."

There is no fix, it runs at 2133 MHz which is within specs. Would not worry about it, the difference is very small.

To illustrate the computer RAM data please open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

wmic memorychip get manufacturer, capacity, partnumber, speed, memorytype, devicelocator, formfactor

When this has completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

When posting the results into the thread please post then click edit then post a second time so that it maintains the alignment.
