    DVD drive not recognized?

The DVD drive in the Acer Aspire E 15 (Acer E5-573) does not recognize the CDs.

The CDs are shown in file managers / other programs, there the drive letter is shown:

    Drive Manger, Win:

How could the CD shown by all programs?

In ripping programs (to save the CD on the hard drive) the CDs are not recognized, not shown, their tracks are not shown, so they cannot be copied.

What ripping program are you using? (ie) Windows Media? iTunes? etc?
The pictures provided show the tracks on the CD and the Drive in Device Manager, that is why we are confused

We are confused Because of this statement. The DVD drive is there and the tracks on the CD are there, so, the DVD drive Does see the CD.
If your ripping software doesn't see the disc Then the problem is in the Ripping software, try something else like the afore mentioned software

Yes, obviously the wrong description, very sorry. May the drive does not see the CD correctly.

Yes, yes, I did as mentioned above, but none of that software shows the CD so it actually seems as if the the problem was caused by the software, I would think.
