I just read this whole thread and no one mentioned much like recommended HP SSD's like this one I just got from NewEgg HP S700 Pro 2.5ABL - Newegg.com I got the 256G to use as my C:\ drive. I sure hope this thing last, it would suck having a bad experience moving to a new technology.

I have MX500's and BX500's. The performance on the MX 500 series is better than the BX but not by much. I bought the BX's on sale and am very happy with them.
Shop around on Crucial's website and Amazon, Staples, etc. The MX has more capacity than the BX, so look and compare carefully.

Samsung is also excellent, but the support from Crucial won me over.
As for Western Digital, they are relatively new to this (SSD) space. However, their support is not that great and that is concerning, IMO.

    FWIW!
Just a few days ago I got my Crucial BX500 240gb at approx. USD 34. Was it a good price or bad?

by the way, does anyone know if newegg is a good seller of computer hardware? I have been hearing this name

for years but never bought anything from them so far. Will they give you

returned or second-hand product and advertised as new?

I almost always buy from Amazon (those shipped and sold from Amazon)

depends on the person selling the new SSD on Newegg
but Newegg is still a great site to order stuff since I have an account there
