Asus ICESound APO driver can't be installed

    Hello,
I bought a new notebook - Asus VivoBook S14 S430UA. As always, I freshly installed clean Windows 10 on it. However, I have pretty big problem with installing ICESound / ICEPower APO driver. The problem is this is not normal setup.exe driver, it has to be installed via CMD. But every method fails. I have tried to install driver downloaded straight from the ASUS site and that's the error I see - https://i.imgur.com/FYV0SPA.jpg This is the link to these drivers, if you are interested https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/n...V139181106.zip

Also, I have tried to download bunch of drivers from Microsoft Update Catalog Microsoft Update Catalog But everytime I'm getting this error https://i.imgur.com/ouLDvry.jpg

I don't know what else I can to. Without this driver, the sound is just terrible...

Hi adnage. Welcome to the TenForums @adnage

Sorry where does it says setup through CMD? (And it would have to be with administrator privileges)

    If you follow this path

    C:\***your system path ****\ICEsound_Win10_64_VER1067.zip\1.0.6.7\5198

    There is an AudioWizardSetup.exe

    Did this fail ?

If you look at the .ZIP that I linked, you will see "install.cmd" file which was supposed to install driver. But I'm getting error as above. And if I run this file using Administrator, it closes immediately, it does do nothing.

AudiowizardSetup.exe installs only program which is useless without this ICESound APO driver.

    Okay.

Where did you get link to those drivers. They are not listed on the Asus download page for your device... or at least I didn't see them.

    Thanks.

Would be nice if they could have included a two line text file for install.

    Have you tried the pnputil.exe

Usually Asus makes things easy to install.

Yes, I have, pnpuntil.exe closes immediately after running. Is there any way to install these drivers manually? I am really annoyed, I don't know what else I can do. I will text Asus tommorow probably...

Rather than mess up your system getting Asus to explain the proper way is the likely the best way to go.

Since they are not installed, do you see devices in your device manager with exclamation marks.

I would assume you could click on device adapter with exclamation mark, right click, then update drivers and point to the specific drivers. Looks like inf files in both directories.

Did you get any Asus install disk or is there an Asus folder that has something labelled Install. It could do the installation for you? I would have a look.

you need to install a compatible Realtek UAD driver first before installing the ICESound APO driver.

ICESound APO depends on the files from the Realtek UAD audio driver.

try this v6.0.1.8639 ICE RTK Realtek audio driver from Github. then install ICESound APO driver afterwards.
