X11SSH-LN4F Bord. Windows freezes with Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2

    Hi Guys,

A few days ago I discovered that my motherboard has an M.2 slot. That's why I bought a Samsung 970 Pro NVMe m.2 SSD.
The Windows Server 2019 installation went without a hitch.
Unfortunately, Windows freezes after a few minutes, as soon as I have logged in.

As a board I use a X11SSH-LN4F. Can it be that my SSD is not compatible with the board?
On the Supermicro side there is a list of tested SSDs.

    What I have already tried:
The SSD installed in the M.2 slot
The SSD is plugged directly into the PCIe slot via an adapter card.

Unfortunately, the result is unchanged. Windows freezes after a few minutes.
Partially I get a BSOD with: WHEA, Uncorrectable Error, which indicates a hardware error or incompatible hardware, as far as I know.

What do you all mean? Use a Supermicro tested SSD?

    Hi Zodi

Are you using the Samsung NVMe driver or the generic Windows. Can't find the thread mow but I think they got around issue by using generic Windows driver.

    Is reliability History reporting anything.

This is a maybe... Is your firmware on NVMe up to date. (Samsung Magician) I say maybe as some people swear their drives run worse after updating firmware. Some firmware updates wind up being destructive so make a back with a tool like Macrium Reflect.

    Hi Caledon Ken,

So far I have not made any updates.

What I have found so far:

Everything is stable with Windows Server 2016 and I did not have BSOD anymore.
That's stupid, now I have to buy another key; /
