They have a 92mm on top instead of a 120mm but I think it is because they are trying to focus the power of the pulling top case fan directly over the CPU instead of just drawing more air from the case. Because this thing has gotten much louder with the two Noctua 12 fans running in the front without any improvement in temps I am thing about removing the front upper case fan and putting it in place of the top case fan and installing this Arctic 11.

    Hi there!

Well, it appears that I have a "solution" for another of my XPS-8930's with a Core i7-8700 (Non-K) -
Have yet to try it though. My XPS 8930 Core i7-8700-K already has the new Sink and Fan from the factory.

    Please watch this video -

Simple CPU Cooling Option for Dell XPS 8930? - YouTube

I called Dell and ordered the parts at no cost via ProSupport in the USA without a single issue under warranty.
The new parts have now arrived as in the video.

    Thanks.
When you say you call Dell USA are you speaking with Indian people? (if so give me that number) I have spoken with about 20 different Indian people and not a single American born citizen (I know this because of accent). No problem with Indian people but several of them have been arrogant and condescending. They have not helped but have tried but have managed to waste 3 months of time and now I am left trying to fix my own brand new under warranty Dell computer.

I have ProSupport Plus. I keep my own storage device (i.e. HDD/SSD, etc.) and have next day on-site repair or parts replacement.
The reason why I chose this more expensive option (though I received a nice discount) is to have USA support and nowhere else.

Now, what do you have? It might be possible to upgrade if the cost is reasonable. Sorry that you are going through the Asia experience.

I have premium support. Which is a step above the standard.

@ Rlp 1963 : same issues on my end. Just bought a new 8930 and discovered afterwards just how badly designed it is for thermals... Trying to use the warranty and the premium support to fix this but there's nothing premium about it, it's completely useless...
Would you mind telling me if you managed to cool down your system a bit?

    Thanks :)
