Cannot install some non W10 software updates - Permissions issue?

    Yes. However, what about this, Bree:

    Is there a way to reset all W10 permissions (globally) back to the default install state?

    BTW - The AV/FW is out of the scenario. I also just excluded CFA.

    I'll speak with Dell. They have very buggy installers.

    Tweaking.com's tool which I mentioned near the beginning is the only one I know of that might help there.

    Again suggest referring to Dell and their forum for similar reports.
