    Where to buy 2 5" mounting bracket/caddy?

I have a Sager NP9876/Clevo P870KM1-G gaming laptop. I would like to install 2 SSDs into the hard drive slots. But the SSDs I bought dont come with screws or an aluminum/metal caddy/bracket to secure them into the laptop. Sure, I can just slide them into the slots, but I dont want them flopping around. I have searched Amazon and eBay but the only results I'm getting are for 2.5" to 3.5" brackets, I'm not trying to put the drives into a desktop. I know such a generic item must exist because I had 2 of them in my ASUS ROG laptop several years ago. But several hours of searching have proved to be fruitless and confusing. Please post links to items compatible with my model.

    Thanks!

Most laptop mounting brackets for hard drives/SSDs are specific to that make model laptop. What came out of the laptop? Did it have HDDs? Usually it is a matter of removing the hard drive(s) with the brackets. Then remove the bracket from the hard drive. You would use the mounting brackets from the HDDs to mount the SSDs in their place. Otherwise......Velcro is your friend.

HP may have them for HP models.
    Check with Sanger.

I used cornflake packet and tape to stop 7mm SSD wobbling in 9.5mm bay on my laptop. If it it doesn't move then it is fine.

You could look at this - it is only $2.89 but who knows how long it will take to arrive.

Those brackets are not generic they are specific to a manufacturer and maybe the model range.
You re-use those. Depending on a particular Laptop you may need a spacer of some kind
Most SSDs are a couple of mm thinner than the original HDD, some come with a spacer to make them fit in a 9.5 mm drive space or you can make a foam/whatever spacer to stop it rattling around as described in post #4.

Are you certain that the caddies aren't in place? I checked out a (rather poor) YouTube video, and it looks like the drives and caddies are in a somewhat unusual location.

I bought my laptop in 2017 on XoticPC for $5800, I requested it without drives and no OS. So far as I can tell, the caddies are not in place, just empty slots. Yes, the location is unusual, they are positioned @ the front of the laptop, just under where the touchpad is.

The caddies linked are a bit expensive, but if they are right for my model then I will have to get them.

The drives I bought are 2 Samsung 860 Pro 4TB, total of 8TB. They may or may not need spacers in addition to the brackets. This way I am future-proofed for games and have plenty of space to install additional OSes (I regularly use about half a dozen Linux distros).

I called Sager and XoticPC, they say they dont sell the brackets, recommended eBay instead.

While we're here, I'd like to ask about something else. My laptop is very difficult to open after removing the bottom frame screws, it is almost as if the bottom lid is hermetically sealed to the rest of the case. I spent 20 mins last night carefully prying it open with a tiny flathead screwdriver (3rd time I've opened the laptop since I bought it). Was a total PITA. I have a 33 piece precision screwdriver kit, so the screws came out easily (except the first time, I think they used LockTite on the screws). So I'd like to ask if someone can recommend a pry tool/spudger/tweezer set for laptops, to make opening it easier.

    Thanks!
