When you restore an image like that you may well also have to run Fixboot or Startup Repair.

You said you created images daily- normally that means with a base image an either incremental or differential images you have a number of possible restore dates assuming you have several such images. (Macrium manages the number kept according to an option you choose- can't remember about Aomei)

Aomei has a space saver feature where you can set it for a full image and any number of incremental or differential backups. It erases the oldest one as it rotates thru being sure to keep the newest full backup. I hope that makes sense. Maybe I need to make some changes there. I did the Fix Boot. Startup Repair couldn't fix the boot problem. Thanks for the suggestion. Please advise if you think of anything else.

Additional options are to use a windows 10 iso.

Using the iso there are options that may be able to

    a) save files then reinstall drivers and applications (similar to reset save files)

    b) repair the failure to boot using command prompt commands

Can you post a screenshot of your current partitions please? (Kyhi's boot disk, Minitool Partition Wizard).

I understand you can do a clean install successfully but replacing C: from your image backup causes the boot problem to recur.

Can you confirm you are only restoring C: and NOT the other partitions?

Also that no configuration change that might be relevant was made during the relevant period - i.e. the images should be consistent with what you have clean installed.

I hope to do the screenshot correctly. I also included photos of the BIOS and Windows Boot Manager.

Sorry, I missed the other part of your question. I don't really understand. When I did the clean install and then the Aomei Image Restore, there were two partitions and "C" in the restore. Should I have just restored "C"?

Yes, that's what I've always said from the start. So if you've not done that, you'll need to do a clean install, check it's working, then ONLY restore C:

Well, I don't see a way to only restore "C" in Aomei. I don't see an option to drop the partitions.

You'll need to read the documentation or ask on their forum...

Yeah, I tried that already. The program shows the three partitions, but they can't be selected. I looked around for an answer, but no luck. I have started a ticket with Aomei. They usually answer back within 24 hours. In the mean time i will continue to look for an answer.
