Drive Removal from Storage Pool taking forever

I read Brink's post about removing a drive from storage pool and followed it exactly. I was trying to remove a 1TB drive that was about 30% full. I started the removal about 2 weeks ago, and it is down to 7.6%. I don't understand why it's taking so long. I was under the impression it would only take a few hours to remove it. Windows updated and rebooted during this time, so did it screw up my drive removal? Is there anything I can do to remove this drive without losing the data?

    Thank you for your help

post screen shots from what you are doing , i am and i am sure the rest are clueless about what you are trying to do , removing a drive is as simple as changing its drive letter or unplugging it .

Too long... If you have two-way mirror over conventional disks you can expect data migration speed approx. 100 MB/s so your 330GB should be done during one hour. In the case of parity storage space, data migration speed depends on processor performance; if we suppose speed about 20 MB/s, your data should be migrated within five hours. There is something wrong in your disk subsystem; check your event log, s.m.a.r.t status of disks, controller driver etc.
