Windows 10 keyboard repeat filter keys won't stay turned off

I'm running Windows 10 Pro ver 1803. All of a sudden the filter key for keyboard repeat rates will not stay off. Everytime I reboot I have to go into settings and turn it off again. Does 1809 solve that problem?

while yes it still does on 1803 too , i suggest you check to see if your keyboard / manufacturer install any utility that resets / over-ride its settings on startup , usually those have an icon in systray , if not then check startup programs in task manager .

try rebooting once into safe mode and set it then reboot see if it sticks .

if no luck , try and check windows integrity , follow steps found here : https://support.microsoft.com/en-my/...m-file-checker

if any of these failed then you know you have got it corrupted and then you do the version upgrade , but if you ask me 1809 is better than 1803 anyways as there werent any worse version than it so go ahead and upgrade .

DISM and scan found nothing. Guess I'll go to 1809. Thanks

OMG! What a feasco I went to 1809 and now my laptop is SLOW! Painfully slow. UGH.

Anyway, 1809 did not fix my filters key . I would turn them off so my repeat keys would work and when I booted it would be turned on again. However, I did finally find how to solve the problem.

I had to go into Control Panel, Ease of Access, Ease of Access Center, Make the keyboard easier to use, setup filter keys, click turn on filter keys, click turn on repeat keys and slow keys. Reboot and test. It worked for me.

Never have I ever had a problem with repeat keys not working and I've been using Windows since 3.1 Now, if someone would tell me how to make the repeat keys go faster!
